Massage Aftercare
Following a massage you must ensure you:
Drink at least 6 glasses of water.
Do not sit in the sun (if oil has been used).
Avoid alcohol for the next 24 hours.
Avoid tea and coffee for the next 12 hours.
Avoid caffeine i.e. headache tablets,
fizzy drinks, coffee etc.
You may suffer from mild headaches or nausea following your treatment (this is due to the elimination of toxins and will be rectified by drinking water).
Take care when driving as you will not be as alert after your treatment.
Avoid sunbeds, saunas and steam rooms for
the next 12 hours.
Gel Aftercare
Be especially careful in the first 24 hours after application and avoid intense heat during this period (e.g. saunas, hot bath, or sunbeds).
Use cuticle oil daily to keep your nails nourished, to stimulate growth and prevent lifting.
Always wear rubber gloves when washing up, cleaning or gardening.
Always wash your hands thoroughly after being in contact with chlorine, insect repellant or sunscreen.
Always return to salon for maintenance and removal and follow any advice given to you by your nail technician.
Waxing Aftercare
To get the best possible results after waxing please follow the recommended aftercare:
Keep the waxed area clean.
Avoid heat and friction during the next 24 - 48 Hours
No hot baths or showers (cool to lukewarm is fine)
No saunas or hot tubs
No tanning (sunbathing, sunbeds or fake tans)
No sports, gym or other vigorous exercise
No swimming in chlorinated pools
Avoid touching or scratching the treated area
Wear clean loose fitting clothes
